Terms of use

Last updated 30 October 2026

By using georgemorris.org you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What the articles are

The articles explain agri-food policy and economics for a general audience. They are written carefully from public sources, but they are general information. They are not investment, tax, legal, accounting or farm management advice, and they do not forecast prices for commodities, land, quota or shares. Before you make a decision about a farm, a business or an investment, speak to a qualified adviser who knows your circumstances. Rules and programs change; check the current version with the agency that runs them.

The name

George Morris Centre is an independent publication that uses the name of a former Guelph research organisation that closed in 2014. It is not that organisation and does not speak for it. See the about page.

Links to other sites

We link to government agencies, international organisations and other sources so you can check what we write. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Partner links

Some pages carry labelled partner panels. If you buy or enrol through one, the site may earn a commission. Your purchase is a contract between you and the merchant, under the merchant's own terms; questions about orders, refunds or courses go to the merchant.

Copyright

The text, photographs and illustrations on this site belong to georgemorris.org unless stated otherwise. You may quote short passages with a link to the source. Please ask before republishing whole articles or images.
