Privacy policy

Last updated 30 October 2026

This policy explains what information georgemorris.org handles and why. It is short because we collect very little.

Reading the site

There are no advertising trackers, analytics scripts or social media pixels on this site. Our web server keeps standard technical logs (your device's address, the page requested, the time and your browser type) so the site can be kept running and secure. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to build profiles of readers.

Pages are delivered through Cloudflare, which processes connection data on our behalf to protect the site from attacks and to deliver pages quickly.

Writing to us

When you use the contact form or write to briefings@georgemorris.org, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to read and answer the message and to keep a record of corrections. You are not added to any mailing list, and your details are never sold or shared. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out automated spam; Turnstile checks your browser and may set a short-lived token for that purpose.

Partner links

Some pages carry labelled panels from booksellers or course providers we work with through affiliate networks, such as CJ Affiliate and MaxBounty. When you click one, the network and the merchant can record that the visit came from this site, usually with a cookie, so that a purchase or enrolment can be credited to us. That happens on their sites, under their own privacy policies. We receive totals of clicks and sales, never your personal details. On our side, clicks on these panels are counted as daily totals per panel, without storing your address or any identifier.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site works without them. If you would like to know what we hold about a message you sent, or would like it deleted, write to briefings@georgemorris.org. Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, depending on where you live, laws such as the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR give you further rights, including a complaint to your privacy regulator.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
